Partly because it left unanswered questions - won’t get specific to avoid spoilers but yeah, I’ve got questions. The ending was in a way sweet but sad yet satisfying - yeah, it’s complicated. The contrast between Godzilla’s dark appearance and the creature from another world’s dazzling light is a bit much for the eyes but it’s done to accent the difference between the characters and the astonishment the onlookers have while watching them fight.

Thankfully the remainder of the movie is interesting and the visuals - return of Godzilla and the creature summoned by the cult - are great.

Basically it’s just talk, talk, talk, (exposition/exposition/followed by filler-talk) and then a weird scene between two characters where the girl wants, ya-know, and the guy’s like ? - viewers too - personally. However, for the next 40ish minutes viewers are waiting for something to happen that is of actual interest. This movie picks up with a quick recap of the first two movies and is a nice refresher for those who’ve been awaiting the release of the next installment. “What if the human race disappeared from this planet and left Godzilla behind, would it still be considered Godzilla then? - Metphies.
